Gil Edwards was born and raised in Meford Oregon. Music has been Gil's main interest as long as he can remember. As a 9 year old boy he got a real nice blue tick hound from his daddy. He'd been trying to get the old man to buy him a guitar for about a year. But money was tight and it didn't look too promising. One night his daddy came home from coon hunting, he asked Gil if he still wanted a guitar. It seems one of his hunting buddies had an old Gibson guitar that he would trade for Gil's hound. Well he missed that old hound dog but he loved his new guitar and the rest is simply history.
