Werner Theunissen is the bass player in The Knuckleheads, born in Holland and raised in Sweden. Werner started early on playing and singing in different bands.
At the age of 18, he started working professionally as a bass player. Werner has played a variety of music styles through out the years. such as rock, funk, r n´b, jazz, hard rock, hip-hop and blues.
He is and has been touring, recording and performing with Swedish and international artists such as Nanne Grönvall, Pugh Rogefeldt, Tommy Nilsson, Mikael Rickfors, Eddie Meduza, Monika Z, Elvis Presleys band members Scotty Moore, DJ Fontana, New York based rapper Grand Master Funk, Kee Marcello from the group Europe and many more.
He got his first record deal in 1983 and recorded the song Kool Katt (Cool Cat) as a bandleader with the Swedish rap-disco-funk group STOP. The song was a minor hit in Scandinavia.
In 1989 he started his own band W.T.B (Werner Theunissen Band) in which Werner was the lead singer and bass player. This band was touring in Europe, performing their own shows and acting as a backup band for many artists.
He is also a tourmanager and composing music for various TV shows and doing commercial voice-overs.
